letter from Dr Irwin in which claim is preferred for a larger retiring allowance than that provided in the Pension Minute,
on
account of Professional service rendered to the Brookes and Navy
in China.
"The Letter of Dr Irwin being read, and considered, his Excellency observes that the additional allowance
for Professional Service is provided in the Pension Minute, and that Dr Irwin thereby becomes
entitled on retirement to one-third, instead of one-fourth of his
Salary.
